Beloveds,
Can you believe it?
Rob Bell joined the LYHL Podcast for an episode! That alone is evidence of how your life can evolve into something you didn’t think possible!
It was recorded last fall and the treasure is just now making its way out to the world. (Find it on the web, your favorite podcast app, or YouTube.)

A screengrab from the conversation!
Rob has been a major influence on me from my first introduction during my church youth group days, to expanding my view of spirituality, to changing how I view my calling, work, and relationships, as well as influencing how I view and practice rest.
He is not big on labels, and I feel that so deeply, but he is a gifted speaker, writer, artist, and thought-leader (my words).
We have a wildly dynamic conversation. We talk about:
His book series: “Where’d You Park Your Spaceship?” (highly recommend!)
Calling: moving to find the next thing
Doing the work you love
Plays
Music
Soul reclamation
Loving and integrating our earlier selves
Punching ourselves in the face and looking for fists
Stories work for a while and then they don’t
Being shrewd
Changing setups; life as fluid
Healthy living needs to consider sustainability of our behaviors
Weary is a spirit and soul fatigue and leads to despair
Despair can masquerade as existential crisis when it’s just burnout
What feeds your soul
Programming of the world confusing love of self and care of self with selfishness
Gospel of denial
Loving the world starts with loving yourself
The unique signature and resonance of grief
The power of both grieving and ungrieved grief
The connection between grief and gratitude
Anger as fuel
How awesome it is to be human!
How emptying out your closet and giving away a carful of belongings is exhilarating
The writing process
Loving bikes
Beloveds, I miss you.
I highly recommend a listen or a viewing!
May you always see the blessing.

Questions for Contemplation:
What’s a book that’s given you a good shaking?
How do you experience grief? (Both grieving it and not grieving it?)
Do you feel that life is awesome?
What something that you can give away or sell to free up some energy in your life?
Beloveds, may you always see the blessing.
