Beloved(ness)

I forget sometimes about my belovedness.

Hello Beloveds,

It was my Grandma Bernadine who taught me about my belovedness. I lost her in my 2nd year of my graduate school - in December, as finals approached.

But a picture of her remains with me from approximately that era. It's a picture of her that I took. I love that photo. I feel the love in her eyes.

I can sense that she's just about to do her signature "blink wink." She would do this pronounced blink in the same manner someone would wink at you, but I never did see her do it with just one eye.

Currently that photo rests in the kitchen, in the frame labeled "Grandma", so that all might know her place. Her loving gaze watches as we make breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and, of course, snacks! She watches on approvingly as my fiancée and I (and any other guest) share gratitudes before dinner.

I forget sometimes about my belovedness. It might be truer to say I frequently forget, but I don't know. I think I'm also more aware of it than ever. Connecting more deeply to one’s own essence will do that.

I hope that here in this LYHL community you can find a more true and lasting sense of your belovedness.

This summer the Divine gifted me with a song about loveability! How we are all inherenty loveable - me, you, us, and even THEM!

This is an inherent, inextricable fact. But injury often leads us to build up walls, and wear disguises that hide us from our true self - this profoundly loveable self.

I'm working on finalizing the lyrics to get it more performable and shareable and optimized, BUT I did previously share a clip of “Loveable” on Instagram.

And now here exclusively for our LYHL community, I’ll offer the full video of the rough freshness of the “Loveable”, which I share under the name “RMF.” (Hopefully, you’ll see a lot more from RMF)!

I hope “Loveable” nourishes your knowledge of your belovedness and those around you.

My plan was to write and share about my podcast in today's newsletter, but that's not what wanted to be shared. It's so curious how this works - art, integrated living, listening, and participating.

I trust that this is what is needed.

P.S. - I'm so glad you're here! :-)

(Truly)

May you always see the blessing.
